Confessions of a Bonafide Pastor's Kid.

Jesus you have won me. That means I’ve given my heart to someone who will never abandon it, but instead, will always be in furious pursuit of it. The world throws pain and hurt at us, but the only things He will ever throw at me are His open arms, and His unending love that can fix any wound. When I feel overwhelmed by my life, or by the things around me, I can call on Him, and He overwhelms me with his love and peace. Alot of the time people say life is too short to waste it on things that don’t matter. And while this is true, life is still long. It can be long enough to break us down, to lead us off His path, and for things to affect us in a negative way. But it can also be long enough to make a difference, and to disarm the status quo. We have the chance to change people’s hearts-out of our own alignment with His heart. Life is full of opportunities to bring change to people. We can present them with something they’ve never felt before, and never knew how to believe in. I’ve given my heart to someone who loves me with everything He is. Jesus has won me, and I will spend my life posturing,positioning and preparing the hearts of others, so that when He reaches out to them, they run-with a reckless vulnerabilty-into His arms. I want to live a long life, that has felt short because of how many things I’ve accomplished with God, and how many things God has accomplished through me.
